Chengcheng Zhai's primary research areas are in humanitarian operations, with a special interest in development programs. She has studied multiple issues related to improving drinking water access in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa, exploring strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of aid distribution and infrastructure development in underserved regions.
